I’m breaking the silence that has settled over the SaaS Bootstrapper, not because there’s been nothing to say, but because we’ve been deep in the work.
Over the past year, Alex and I have been heads down on Aware, and in that time, it has grown nearly 8x.
We’re in full scaling mode.
Along the way, we’ve also acquired two other businesses under the Aware canopy.
We love what we’ve built, but after many long walks through the woods and deep conversations about where this journey leads, we’ve realized we’re outgrowing the bounds of that single clearing.
It’s time to step beyond.
And with that, we’re beyond excited to announce Wildfront.
We know that being a founder can feel like trekking through uncharted terrain—full of promise, but also isolation, dead ends, and untapped opportunities.
Too many great projects wither before they reach their full potential.
We’re here to help change that. If you’re a founder or business owner, here’s what we’re interested in:
Acquiring small SaaS products – If your SaaS is making <$10k MRR, we’d love to explore a potential buyout.
Investing in or finding a buyer for your services business – Especially those with $100k+ annual net income.
Purchasing relevant assets – Code, tools, content, websites—especially those related to social media or the indie hacker space. If you have a graveyard SaaS (no MRR) or a profitable product you can no longer manage alone, we might be the right home for it.
Special situations – Distressed sales, shareholder buyouts, and turnarounds, depending on the specifics.
We’re building a broader, stronger canopy — one that shelters not just Aware but a growing ecosystem of ideas, products, and businesses.
If this speaks to you, let’s talk.
The wilderness is calling.
❤️,
Mac
P.S. Alex and I are currently in New Orleans at MicroConf. If you’re around and we haven’t talked, please say hi!
